From shrieking auto successions to inwardly charged confrontations between his refined lead cast; the film throbs. Aishwarya is corroded toward the begin yet inevitably assumes responsibility of the double parts of her character. Once ready, her eyes inhale fire. Irrfan breezes past with applaud trap Kamlesh Pandey dialogs and Shabana is impeccable." Daily News and Analysis appraised the film with 3.5 stars out of 5 and remarked "What makes Jazbaa a wonderful affair is it's quick paced, rigid and has a run time of two hours, permitting you an opportunity to think.The court scenes are splendid, Aishwarya is in a character that isn't near anything she has done some time recently. She looks ravishing and gutted as the scene obliges her to be, however it is the supporting cast - Irrfan Khan and Shabana Azmi who lift the film a few indents above in each scene that they are on the screen."
