United National Party Parliamentarian Palitha Thewarapperuma, who was captured on the charges of ambushing an individual from the Aghalawatte Pradeshiya Sabha, was discharged on abandon Wednesday.
Safeguard was allowed by the Mathugama Magistrate's Court. The MP was discharged on two sureties of Rs.50,000 each.
The Magistrate requested that the travel permit of the MP be appropriated. The case will be taken up again on February 28.
UNP MP Palitha Thewarapperuma was captured on January 21 for making an Agalawatte Pradeshiya Sabha part stoop.
